What I hate is that this will be all ignored. Hell I seen people on Twitter commenting saying "Lamar Exposed" and we need a real QB, completely ignoring how well Lamar has played this season. We went into KC, had a chance to win it and came up short. At one point, we were down 6 before the defense let Nick Chubb run wild on us and take all the momentum back to Cleveland.

Ravens, lose because of defense: Lamar sucks, Lamar is a runningback, etc.

Chiefs win after a comeback because their defense forces Mahomes into shootouts: Mahomes is the greatest QB ever!!! Let's ignore the terrible Chiefs defense and give Mahomes all the credit.
 
With this D we are going nowhere . No pass rush and massive communication problems in the secondary . The inside linebackers are weak and we certainly miss Mosley . Lamar is much improved but he needed more chances to get a win. The D could not stop the Browns however .

Keep doing what we’ve been doing. Taking shots in the mid rounds. It’s literally all we’ve done thus far, hopefully we hit, if not, at least our secondary is stacked and we’re back to where we were as a team last year except with much better receiving threats and an improved Lamar

i mean i know it cant get fixed during the year, but it has to improve somewhat - there's being bad and then there's continually busting coverages bad - and we need to go from at least the latter to the former

Let’s also mention how we were driving to take the lead before Ingram fumbled 5 yards shy of the red zone.

it'll be a weakness till the end. Even if it's slightly better it simply doesn't have that enforcer on the edge or a rangy elite ILB.

A change of coordinator likely will not happen, but I stand by my op that a performance like this along with horrible performances in 3 straight weeks warrants a firing. Brandon Williams or not, Jimmy Smith or not we still have Marlon Humphrey, a good not great vet in Carr, Thomas, Judon, etc. Even with the injuries we are far better than this. A 5 foot 9 rookie threw for 349 yards on us, Mahomes for nearly 400, and now Baker who was looking like to be in a sophomore slump got to back on track with 342 on us while we got trampled for 500+yards in an important HOME divisional game.

The Ravens were within one score thanks to an 8pt TD drive until the defense folded. Offense had it's struggles too but the defense cost us the game today no question.
 
this has nothing to do with co-ordinators. Wink has very little football IQ on that field he's got a lot of complimentary pieces being asked to be more than JAGS.

it doesnt need to do that - we've got a team that can drive at will on offence when it remembers its identity (and doesnt get in its own way like today) - the defence needs to not bust for big plays all the time, that's it...

you can't fix low coverage IQ ( Jefferson, Peanut, Young)

We don't have the personnel to play and dominate teams. it's as simple as that.
 
we're also not athletic on D.

This is all Ozzies doing. His drafting = senile old man that's lost touch.

Yet Lamar is playing light years better than the other first round QBs from that draft lol. I just get off social media now instead of arguing with fat-couch QBs who have never touched a football in their lives. They’re just trolls.

Lamar is an electric, exciting QB who indeed makes amazing plays and extends drives.

But at what point does it become a liability when he truly can not move the ball down field through the air. I think everyone would be down for him to lead us to the super bowl just running over teams, but just as last year's playoff implosion, Lamar is getting demolished by blitzes and looks a lot like Flacco having no time to throw and and no open receivers resulting in embarrassing stat lines and obviously losing now because of his inability to pick up blitzes and make quick precise throws.

Defense lost the game bar none, players dropped a few easy catches, and the turnovers hurt too but all in all Lamar has to get on the same page with these receivers.

Take away the meaningless 50 yarder in garbage time- Jackson went for 197 yards and 2td/2int and a fumbled hand off which luckily did not result in a turnover. That's just not good enough in a home game against a team like the Browns. Love Lamar's personality/attitude and his electrifying play making drive extending ability, but he clearly has not improved enough yet upon the ugly loss against SD last year. Jackson has the upside but has been severely overrated this year so far as a passing QB as much as it pains me to say that. He has a number of ugly throws and missed plays and to show for it.

Lamar is playing great still needs work, but our Defense can't stop giving up big plays. That uncharacteristic fumble by Mark started a bad swing for the worse, I imagine he'll fix it. I still believe Lamar can take us to the post season this year but our D is gonna do their best impression of that 2014 playoff game against the Pats

there is NO chance we're making the playoffs

none...this team cannot cover.
 
I seriously just can't see how we can fix this shitshow of a D with players we have. We played our easiest opponents on schedule in first two rounds and won, Chiefs one was close because their D sucks, then got killed today. I can see us beating Bengals once and that's pretty much it.

At least we're fixed to pick high in 2020.
