Does Webb count?
Do elite players ever lose a step after major injuries? I just feel like they really don’t. It’s one of those weird things in football to me that defies logic, like how when a player gets hurt typically their backup does super well (for every team besides our centers)
on that 2nd thing i think it's a mental thing - we have lower expectations for backups so we give them much more leeway for mistakes which makes them seem better than they are - with a starter you want high-level play, with a backup you want functional play where they just survive so in lots of cases it's just about how we grade starters and backups on a different scale - or at least that's what i think it is
in terms of injuries it often takes a bit of time but it's certainly true that lots of guys do come back from injuries and get to the same level as they were pre-injury - but it's not always immediate as they have to subconsciously trust their body which sometimes takes some time to get to that level especially when it's a long-term injury that required surgery in a knee or ankle
I mean none of those were super stars at all, they were both very good for one year. I get the point but I mean Like two real superstars. My point is way more so like a 9/10 great players aren’t impacted but I do get what is being saidpitta too
like you would think we would have done way way worse again Pittsburgh. Quite honestly some of those guys are barely qualifiers for a pratice squad. Playing a division winner. If we had a qb who was a 4/10 we would have won that game.
I hope Orlando stays. That being said, I think you could get a nice package for him. He proved he can play LT and his cap hit is EXTREMELY affordable for next season, which is big considering the cap situation for many clubs.
If you could send him to a team needing OL help, LAC, off the top of my head. You have a real chance to get an impactful weapon to help the passing game. With it being such a nice draft for the OL, you can address Brown's departure as soon as pick 27 if you want.
It would be tough to deal Orlando, but if you could get a really nice weapon as well as really promising OL later in the 1st, it could be worthwhile.
Yea he wants to play LT for sure. The more Rt he play the less his value. I dnt blame him though.. get paid young ____ get paidWinner react for the first half
second half I’m not so sure, that’s a clear message. Although *** said browns days in Baltimore are likely numbered so we can put this all to rest because he’ll be a extended tomorrow
edit: just now seeing that you pointed this out a few posts above lol
I think that it would be great to keep Brown here next year to make a Super Bowl push but if we get an offer for 2x 1st round picks and another pick or picks I think the responsible thing is to take that deal quickly.
#SIIEThis would be incredible. It would give us an opportunity to trade up and grab somebody
PITTZ SZN?
I've been super busy with work, but I've caught up with everything on the board. The Ravens are in my opinion in a very unstable situation. Given our cap situation, our current free agents, our current draft capital, our positional needs, the need for an entire passing game overhaul, Lamar's extension, and rumblings of unhappiness for multiple reasons from some of our bigger players, we are in a what feels like a little precarious situation. Given all those things, it feels to me that if we just kind of stay the coarse and don't attempt some big moves either player or scheme wise, we are setting ourselves up for a future of mediocrity when we give Lamar that mega deal. As a Ravens fan, I will be perfectly content if we really try some stuff to make the team better and it doesn't work. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. But I will be upset if we don't overhaul the passing game, hand Lamar a mega deal, destroy any offensive player's desire to be here, draft no receivers in the first 3 rounds etc. I really believe it will take some care, but EDC can get us on the right track.
come on, we can create an Orlando Brown, Jr. short squeeze. HOLD HOLD HOLD out for 3 1st round pickssurely would have to be more than just a 1st rounder...
if Tunsil brought back basically 2 1s and a 2 we've got to be looking for a bit more than just a single first round pick
I haven't been on board often, in the last couple weeks. Where is the information showing Lamar being upset with Roman? It appears to me that players are unhappy with Roman and appear to be on board with Lamar Jackson. That second part is the good news in all of this.

I think this is based on one of his instagram posts. Dom did post one or two days ago.I haven't been on board often, in the last couple weeks. Where is the information showing Lamar being upset with Roman?
