The Random Thought Thread

So now that we know the Browns won't have Hunt for 8 games, I'm putting money on first Ravens Browns game being week 10, but Browns Steelers games before week 8.

No way... They're going to let him get his football legs back. Ravens Browns II week 17 and the first match will be week 12 or 13... after their bye.

When you play 162 games in 6 months all over the country and have to also account for rainouts it can be tough to make a move that may seem simple.

And it was the end of the season, that is a big factor too.

You too???? Okay, exactly how many Yankee fans are here?

Stand up and state whether you are hard core or a casual fan.

Btw, Aaron Judge is a beast! The good kind of beast that is.

With 4 QBs going in the first this year, at least 2 next, and early scouts already have 2 for following, I wonder if QB contracts are about to fall off a cliff because there will now be more talented QBs available than teams that need them.

highly doubtful. First all the QBs coming out aren't going to be good and second QBs will be retiring in the NFL as well. The prices will still start to go up, especially with the new CBA.

i think we might find that with the next cba qb contracts (and all contracts change) - qb contracts will naturally keep going up but they might take up less cap as a percentage of the cap but may well be fully guaranteed at signing

Right now we have an odd situation where most teams have a QB answer (very odd and unusual). Over the next 5 years we have 5 solid starters likely retiring (Brees, Manning, Brady, Rivers, and Ben). After that lets assume 2 of the 5 drafted this year bust (could be 3 but lets work with 2) and also that 2 of Mariota, Carr, and Winston are replaced and lets throw in Dolphins

That's 10 openings over 5 years and a lot of those not until later in the 5 years. Being a great QB is suddenly more replaceable than 5 years ago when you could argue there were only 15 super Bowl caliber QBS
