Next Up: Cleveland

This teams key is quite simple really. it's michael pierce...if he plays like he did vs cinci and pushes the pocket from straight down the middle, it changes the whole game for the entire defense.
Michael Pierce was great but Brandon Williams complimented him and IMO they both feed off each other. Great to have two guys in the center of the DL. We put so much pressure on the Bengals OL.

First things first, we missed the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 seasons. I don't think anyone within the Ravens organization should be sleeping on anybody.

Offensively, I expect Stanley to have a better game. I think he was just rusty. Just think what happened last season. He didn't look that good against the Steelers in his first game back from injury and then he went back to being Stonewall Stanley a couple of games later. You know, it'd be nice to see one or two of our TEs step up this game.

Defensively, where do I begin? You guys remember, how turned up our defense looked in our home opener? I expect the same and if the Browns struggle to put any points on the board, look for them to get that 2nd shutout.

I was reading @Filmstudy's review and he mentioned Weddle grabbed his leg on the 2nd to the last play and didn't return. Has there been an update on this
Well he had an ice cream party last night so he couldn't have been feeling that terrible. I think if the best player on our defense was seriously hurt we would have heard about it by now at least

I feel confident with our defense dominating this game. Just want to see our offense look more balanced. Still run the ball but lets run some play action and get Watson amd Williams the ball. Take a few deep shots to Perriman and wallace. Im expecting Campanaro to be more involved with woodhead out

So by what metric are you judging the browns line "miles better than cincis"?

Joe Thomas
Kevin Zeitler
Shon Colman
Joel Bitono

3 Pro Bowl quality players there alone and a solid tackle in coleman.

the only weaknish link is tretter.

flacco's lack of movement in the pocket worries me. He doesn't look ready to take off and try to scramble, he just waits for the inevitable.
We didn't see Joe like at all yesterday I don't get everyone's hate when you only fell back 17 times it's hard to get a good grasp on a player I think the chemistry isn't there and this browns game we are going to open it up and try something's to get he ball rolling on offense I think we just desperately wanted to leave cinci with a W and did not plan on chanceing any mistakes at all

lol...... nice names but they sucked vs. pburgh. 7 sacks and a booming 57 yards on the ground, more like toilet bowl quality.

The steelers seemed to have issues running the ball vs the Browns. Could be problematuc for us too. Hopefully we have a good gameplan offensively and keep flacco comfortable with some easy reads early on. Get guys in space. Run some crossing routes and such. Were gonna have to take some deep shots to keep their defense honest so we CAN run the ball.

Ben Roethlisberger has won more games at the Browns stadium than any other quarterback in history.

That is a sad, sad statistic.

I feel bad for Browns fans. :(

Seriously I do.

Geno atkins is the only i ever see beat yanda. Dude is a stud man. Two games in a row winning by more 7? Whens the last time we did that?

There's a huge X factor in the Ravens favor for this game. I won't say yet what it is but I will after the game. Don't want to get too cocky lol.

Anyway, this OL has better talent on paper but I think there could be chemistry issues as they acclimate together. It's easy to say that having them makes them better but they still have to work together to bring it all together.

In most recent history, rookie QBs have eaten us up. After one game I am not yet on the dominant wagon. I hope to be real soon.

Offensively, well, we'd best have a more balanced attack. The Browns play us close always.

Absolutely, it really sucks what happened to Za'Darius but reports are it's with the ankle and there are no structural damage to the knee. It could be a sprain. I remember when I sprained my ankle badly a while back and couldn't even move my leg at all, and I didn't have a 300LB fall on it. It took days to heal, but after a week you just have issues with it tightening up, which isn't pain related but it effects your explosiveness and quickness. Hopefully he'll be back within the next few games because we will need him. This could be the year where he breaks out in a big way.

Awww damn! Here we go with this "break out" talk. I can't stand that term @TheCity5 :brickwall: :D

Actually, you're wrong. The last time a rookie QB carved us up was 2012 when we ruined RG3's career and Kirk Cousins came in to beat us in overtime. We haven't lost to a rookie QB since then. Last year, we played Wentz, but we held him in check for most of the game passing wise(sure, he did have that rushing TD against us when our defense decided to shit the bed towards the end of the season), but we still ended up winning that game. But I guess anything to fit the "fire Pees" narrative(even though he's clearly not the problem).

Kizer isn't as good of a rookie QB as Wentz looked either to be honest. He has a good oline in front of him, but he holds the ball longer than AC Green held on to his virginity. He also has good weapons as well, but all in all we should be able to contain him. It ain't gonna be an easy, but we should win this game. The Browns have beaten Flacco, what once in his time here? With no Garrett, the defense isn't nearly as scary as the Bengals was.

I see a W, but could see how it's a hard W. But with a rookie QB, whom we normally give a hard time? I could also see a win like yesterday's.

I think a 10 point win will suffice for me. I really hope we dont make it too close. Flacco needs to be solid at best and i think we cruise. The only reason it should be close is if Flacco struggles. With the new system in place i think it will help flacco make some easier reads.

Especially with an inexperience Browns secondary. Also no Haden to pick off flacco.

It is imparative that some of the young guys make plays. The vets took care of game 1. This is a perfect opportunity for young guys to step up so they can spell the vets. Guys like Correa, Bowser, Perriman and both Williams.
