Deshaun Watson has played his last snap for the Texans according to Schefter and Mortensen. wow.

where'd you see that

this is all i've seen from schefter

but if it's true then if im the 49ers i do everything in my power to get watson

TV and apparently Miami is his preferred team

im assuming tua goes the other way in that instance

but they might not find a head coach if this happens

its amazing how quickly that franchise has torn itself apart - easterby was only hired in 2019

Here's the tweet

have you read the SI piece on the Texans (i posted in the around the nfl thread) - i hardly find it unsurprising that Watson feels that way - it's one of the most stunning and damning pieces of sports journalism ive read in a long while

if you haven't read it i'd 100% recommend

I also think that Deshaun Watson on the Dolphins (depending on who they hire at OC) could be amazing - would be great for the AFC too in terms of building rivalries especially with the great setup and young talent they have in miami right now and i really think flores looks like he's going to be a great head coach

Baker vs Lamar in the AFC North (maybe burrow factors in soon)
Mahomes vs (hopefully) Herbert in the AFC West
Allen vs (potentially) Watson in the AFC East

which would just leave the AFC South who're about to get Trevor Lawrence

touchback rule lol - dumbest rule in football

but it's just amazing that the helmet to helmet stuff just disappears whenever it's convenient

I agree. Definitely a very stupid rule. I don't even get the point of it

some different perspectives on the touchback rule

not a different perspective on the rule per se but this is good coaching given the rule
