2022 General Draft Thoughts

no cross... i know DJ's lower on him than basically every single other analyst but that's surprising that even bucky wouldnt put him on any of those teams lol.. then again maybe not given bucky normally just repeats everything DJ says
but 9 of the top 10 going in the top 10 there would be frustrating but cross being the surprise to sneak out is odd and i doubt that's in any way realistic - but if he did make it out of the top 10 then there's a legit chance he makes it to 14 because washington, the vikings and the browns all have their bookends in place already... (technically so do we i suppose too)
tbf ive still got a few WRs to go (drake london, treylon burks, jameson williams) but he's in my top 13 prospects right now which i guess is indicative of how weak i think this class is at the top but also gives him a decent change to be BPA when we pick on my board
but he's also not in the top 10 prospects and there's a distinct drop-off in talent/value at that point for me

Imagine if we pass on Davis to take Linderbaum, then Pittsburgh takes Davis to add to their front...
what pisses me off about all this pearl clutching about thibodeaux is that he literally came back from injury and played - like no one ever brings that up when they talk about his effort and stuff like that - no one could have given him any shit at all if after his ankle sprain in week 1 he decided to opt-out and declare for the draft back in september (mcshay literally brings it up at the end here as something that people could have been saying about him but arent which seems completely ridiculous)...
the other thing about this is that this is all about the combine - an event that everyone in the community and media completely admits is basically meaningless - like we're really doing all this because he ruined your coverage of defensive end drills
if they let him fall to us, they will regret it for years because not only would we be getting KT, but we'd be getting KT with a 13 spot chip on his shoulder
would be like the steelers playing a reverse uno card on us

I honestly would not ever use him as a NT unless it's 3rd/4th and very short. That's a waste of his burst and bullrush. I would keep him on the B gap or maybe against the ot. Either he crashes the pocket himself or perfectly sets up Oweh to finish the play. Also him as 3-4 DE destroys the running game as well. Teams cannot run towards the edge if he's pushing the guard on that side back, and he prevents teams from pulling that guard because he can get into the backfield too quickly. When put on the side of the O-line he could just shut that side down.
@Dom McRaven I just see him as someone that utterly disrupts any blocking scheme and creates chaos. It won't show up in the stats, but he'll be the one really messing up the offenses plans. There's definitely guys I'll take over him, but outside of the top ten he has by far the highest ceiling, and makes the biggest impact on the Ravens.
i'd keep him at the 0 or 1 because he changes the maths when he's in there - maybe you offset him at 3 but either way he automatically creates 1v1s for your 4 man front unless the offence leaves extra blockers in - i prefer him inside at the nose as force player because i dont think he's laterally that agile and at 3t or 5t the offence has the opportunity to just run the other way
im not saying he's exclusively a nose tackle but i think he's going to spend the vast majority of his time either head up on a C or in the a-gap
