2022 General Draft Thoughts

The question with Jordan Davis is why does he play so few snaps compared to his teammates?
wyatt, travon walker, nolan smith, nakobe dean, anderson, jalen carter (88), any of them would help us right now.

They haven't done anything to me, but since Elam, I distrust Florida kids, troublesome, little fond of training, it's not a university whose prospects inspire confidence in me

I'm curious how big the difference is. JDs elite against the run and a force of nature at the line but is only going to give you so much pass rush. It's likely that for 2nd/3rd and long (of which Georgia are likely getting a lot), obvious passing plays that they sub him out to keep him fresh as that's not his game. Might make up for the difference in snaps?

that's something you have to figure out this offseason for sure - is it rotational or is it about pass rush - and if it is pass rush ability is that down to rawness in that mode or is it about a lack of ability

pass rush is so valuable that if you're a pure nose with not much rush potential or ability then you'll drop somewhat even if you've got awesome athleticism and technique

to be a 1st round nose tackle you've got to have some pass rush potential from DT e.g. derrick brown or vita vea

Always on the lookout for the draft prospect with the best name. It looks like Auburn have a strong contender in safety Smoke Monday

Sad shit for sure. He denies the allegations, but voluntarily turns himself in. Yeah we'll see what happens.
People do turn themselves in to get ahead of the allegations and give full cooperation when they know they’re innocent. But then again, people who are guilty do the same in hopes that they’ll convince everyone

What does everyone think of demarvion overshown? I think he looks like a potentially elite player, I love his blitz and pass rush, I love how he shoots gaps, he is an absolute freak, he’s very tall and long, he’s very disruptive in throwing lanes, but I don’t like him taking on blocks, I don’t like him on deeper drops as it seems like he often gets lost in no man’s land, and frankly he reminds me a little too much of a much longer Patrick queen with his strengths and weaknesses. But on the flip side, he could be Micah parsons with some added bulk.

I really like him but I just don’t know if I like him for the ravens. Can anyone sway me one way or another?

also as far as edge rushers go, myjai sanders is criminally underrated, he might be my favorite edge after karlaftis(I haven’t even watched thibodeau because I’d be wasting my time lol)

What I saw of Overshown did not appeal to me at all, I am not much of a reference due to my technical knowledge, I only limit myself to: being close to the play, tackle form, motor, if it is physical, how do you try to block it .
did not check any of "my" boxes

Surprized to hear you talking about Kalaftis and after looking it up I didn't know he was so highly rated and hell I thought he'd be a good sleeper pick lol.

Karlaftis seems to have jumped up a lot this year in the hype train, I was watching him in the offseason and he looked like a top 5 talent type of player to me. Seems like his buzz is matching his tape now

one of the few players who's been mentioned a lot already

im not sure what i think about him yet - not in film study mode yet this year

he's physically and athletically super exciting but i must say that from what ive seen live this year of georgia, there have been more disruptive interior defensive linemen and as you say he doesnt offer much pass rush from what ive seen so far
