2022 General Draft Thoughts

I forgot we got micheal pirece, yea we davis not coming here..
Davis has a much higher ceiling, and I think people are underestimating how bad the defensive line is for the Ravens right now. It's the worst it's ever been in franchise history, both in terms of starters and depth. Hell, it could be bottom five in the NFL right now. Even if we make the greatest secondary in NFL history it won't matter with this defensive line.

I'd love for us to do some crazy shit like this. Copped a D for giving up a 2nd , 2 3rds & a 6th for JJ but I'd take that everytime.

Is Washington (Huskies) predominantly a man or zone defense? I’m getting conflicted information lol

They play a ton of cover 3 so one of mcduffie played almost entirely zone coverage (think he only had like 100 total snaps not in some sort of zone in 2021)

Haven’t watched enough of Gordon to know for sure what he was in a lot but I doubt it will be much different unless they played a lot of cover 6 (which I didn’t pay much attention to lol)

But huskies play tons of zone

Jeff has spoken. It shall now become true.

that feels pretty good - ravens normally have a smaller board (although since EDC took over feels like the boards have gotten bigger) - iirc it's smaller than the ~200 prospects they talked about last year in a smaller class but that could well have been a smokescreen from last year's liars lunch

iirc typically ravens boards in the past have been around 150 prospects (or fewer)

In a mock with 31 other people I traded back with the chiefs for their 29 and 30 pick. So far I’ve gotten Devin Lloyd, Dax Hill, and Daniel Faalele

Oh baby

Man I'm such a flip flopper on this draft. Like I've been saying move up to get KT if he's falling. But is that actually better than getting Booth and Lloyd in a trade back?

Are there any prospects that are singularly better than 2 late first round guys combined?

It's very unlikely you'd ever get two picks in the same round in the draft for a trade down. Especially two firsts. A move up is more like, is that player better than the original guy we might have gotten and the third rounders we might get.

if im giving up KT for Booth and Lloyd im taking booth and lloyd without question - think it's unlikely we'd get that sort of incredible value in a trade down though...

but i was literally just about to come here and post about how maybe ill be caned for it but wouldnt hate it if we just straight up picked lloyd at 14... he's gonna go later because he didnt run a 4.5 40 yd dash but i think he's an gonna be an all-around stud
