i mean im not surprised
gonna spoil a post im hoping to be able to do this weekend with my top 50 and positional rankings (so far)

but derek stingley is my number 1 player in this entire draft class regardless of position

would not be shocked to find that some teams do too (even with the lisfranc)

it's definitely got to the point over the last few years where if im much much higher on a player early in the process, im not looking to see why im wrong, im waiting for the media to find out how NFL teams actually view those players/waiting for the jeremiahs and bruglers of the world to start changing the narrative - obviously a very different situation if it's someone i get to later in the process and there's a big grade disparity but the early ones i always expected some kind of revisionism

If you have him at 1,how far does he have to fall for you to trade up
 
The board is gonna be so dry when we're up lmao. I don't see anyone we really want falling or us trading up for anyone. We're at such an awkward draft spot

idk lol - he's the only guy i might advocate a trade up for
but like with other trade scenarios i think seattle is the highest we can go and best case, in a depreciated top of the draft trade market, that's probably gonna cost 14 and a 3 but more likely it's gonna cost something like 14, 76 and 128

more likely we'd need to see him get out of the top 10 to go up and get him... if he gets to 11 maybe washington takes pick 100 to let us slide ahead of the vikings for him, if he gets to 12 maybe the vikings have a big grade on mcduffie (who could still be on the board) and dont mind sliding back 2 spots to let us take the one we like better for the 110th pick...

Yeah I just don't see him getting anywhere near us. I personally think only 3 guys not in the top 11 will go before 14.

just feels like garrett wilson is gonna go high too - and i did regrade him recently ahead of jameson williams (but still behind olave) so it's not like i don't see how a team can love him and i know DJ especially thinks he's a top 5 player in the entire class

so i dont think it's out of the question that there's a run on WRs before 14 just because of how varied it seems teams have these guys graded - think ive seen every single one of the "so-called" top 5 ranked as the number 1 guy - it definitely helps that they're all slightly different flavours of receiver too - and i think if we were more WR needy as a team we'd be terrified about missing out on these guys at 14 too

it only takes 1 to go in the top 7 to break open the whole WR run and maybe see 3 or 4 WRs off the board by the time we get to 14

the more important question i have is... im not even sure right now that a QB does go before we pick... i think the panthers probably do want to take one, but i think they're probably desperate to trade out of the 6th pick and get the QB later in the round

How do we feel about Hamilton sliding? We've seen recent reports saying that the KT and DS sliding reports are probably overblown. I don't think anyone is saying that KH will go number 3 or something like they had been saying for awhile.

If he's there I'm still not sure we can justify taking him.

I can justify him taking him in the 7th round due to his decision making skills.

do we know anything about what the pickens "character concerns" are beyond the fight on the field he had vs georgia tech...
