As a Packer fan I wish we had a running back like him. He is a tough hard nosed runner.Have you noticed how naturally Alex Collins catches the football?

It's lamentable the dearth of hitters on this defense. Steelers offensive SKILL players are more physical. I lose count of how many times I saw three raven defenders unable to even bring Bell to the ground prior to a whistle.
Ill try and be an optimist here:
Humphrey was not afraid of the moment, and the steelers seemed to have more respect for him than they did Carr. For his first trip to Pittsburgh??? Cant expect much more from a 21 year old. Next year Carr wont be here, and we'll have Smith, Humphrey, and Young as our starters.
Bowser also had himself a good game. Just hope this gives him more playing time
Our Oline played exceptionally well, and we may have found a feature back in Collins. I totally underestimated his potential.
Flacco also seems to be playing much better given his limited options. Other than the first drive pick he played good enough to win the game.
As for the disapointments.....
Boy oh boy did our safeties look slow. Weddle and Jefferson are cleary mismatches for tightends and running backs....its sad because those were supposed to be their strengths...we need more size and range at the safety position!(Ronnie Harrison?) I expect jefferson to take a paycut. Hes been very underwhelming this year. Too bad Malik Hooker didnt declare a year later...
Mosely really is half man half amazing. By that i mean hes inconsistent. Some games he looks amazing. Other times he looks like a JAG (Just a guy)
Where the hell is the Tim Williams we saw at alabama??? He looks so stiff and gets no pressure. He had plenty of reps vs the steelers and was a total liability as a pass rusher. Really hope he makes strides in year 2 because i dont see him fixing it this year.
Chris Moore looked like our best reciever yesterday....not a good sign.
Dean Pees needs to retire....im sick of these blown leads under him...
2019 is the year this team has options. Flacco will be gone, Harbaugh will be gone.. Suddenly cap opens up.
and then we are back to square one with no QB
right now, if flacco is what he is showing us, we can have cheap option for 4 years who can do what he does and probably better. Unless Boller is your fear.
I also think Flacco has played great football the last two weeks when claiming he is finally healthy. He had the one bad pick but overall the past few weeks he has been solid.Price is not what is hurting us right now. We can spend a boat on a player of your liking outside of QB and will not change our situation with who is calling plays
And now hes hurt with a hip injuryHow do you figure? He seems to get open and is making tough catches.......that a great sign if you ask me. A young receiver looking better than the vets? YES PLEASE AND I WILL TAKE 2
Seriously, there is something about him the last couple of weeks that's different
I don't know that we can pin Carr's completions to the lack of a pass rush. Now obviously the fact that we were sending extra bodies without getting home was one of the biggest reasons behind the shredding. And the lack of help put him in a precarious position. But in Carr's case, he struggled early and often despite covering the first read on throws that occurred prior the 3 second mark.People went in on Jimmy and it wasn't this bad. Most of those on Carr can be attributed to lack of a pass rush. I just can't get that last dagger out of my mind with the half ass jam that gives Brown separation. I'm not going to hold a grudge though. Carr has been pretty damn good for us so can't be mad.
I'd just like to know why with all these rushers we drafted we aren't more creative in ways to get them on the field especially on 3rd and longs.
It feels weird to say this but I think we missed ZDS vs Steelers. With him playing, we are usually pressuring more inside, which helps edge rush a lot. He's obviously not as good as McPhee was in that role but valuable presence nevertheless.
You know, the Patriots can be pissed off all they want, but if they don't win, their emotions are irrelevant.Just to add.....
On "UNDISPUTED" today...in reference to speaking about the upcoming match up between the Steelers and the Patriots, here is what the guys said;
Shannon: "Steelers, you better be on your best behavior because he (Brady) saw what Joe Flacco did to you (putting up 38 pts). Now, I'd like to think, even though Baltimore have some nice offensive talent, I still, even with Gronk coming back, I believe the offensive talent at the SKILL positions for New England is better than what Baltimore had on Sunday night."
Rob Ryan: "Oh! There is no question! I think New England comes into this game, they're embarrassed but offensively they're going to be all over Pittsburgh!"
I hate when people try to talk up about Brady being angry or energized. Seriously just stop. Ray, Suggs, or any of other players never needed that. They came into every game giving 100% no matter what. You know, the Patriots can be pissed off all they want, but if they don't win, their emotions are irrelevant.
Yeah but Ray and Suggs aren't/weren't wearing skirts.I hate when people try to talk up about Brady being angry or energized. Seriously just stop. Ray, Suggs, or any of other players never needed that. They came into every game giving 100% no matter what.

Joe didn’t take a snap during training camp so I suspected it would take him quite some time to get rolling .recently he has shown a bit more

To me, this goes with EVERYONE, not just Brady. I mean, you're getting paid millions of dollars to do a job and do it well. You BETTER care. It's cool and all that they have passion when they lose, but if they lose games, well.....so much for passion.I hate when people try to talk up about Brady being angry or energized. Seriously just stop. Ray, Suggs, or any of other players never needed that. They came into every game giving 100% no matter what.
I hear ya, but like my previous post, it was more towards the "Steelers got to play a pissed off Brady" narrative. Same thing with us. The Browns are gonna "play a pissed off Ravens team." Well what happens if the Browns beat this pissed off Ravens team? What then (rhetoric question)? The post wasn't about the Patriots perse but a confirmation to @Edgar comments about the Steelers offensive "SKILL" positions being better than the Ravens.
The guys on the show simply mentioned the same thing but in the context of their upcoming match up with the Steelers and how that the Patriots offensive "SKILL" positions are also better than the Ravens.
Well if we lose a game, the Browns game is the game we can afford to lose. Indy and bengals are common opponent games. To me, this goes with EVERYONE, not just Brady.
