It's not like we broke away and tried to run up the score. Lamar got his 5 and went down. NFL coaches are such babies sometimes.

Yeah the whole mercy thing you guys do doesn't make any sense to me. Over here we try and score as many points until the final whistle, if you can't stop us that's your problem. Most of our sports tie breakers are for and against points so maybe that's it or maybe it's because we are all classless descendants of prisoners.

I'm not gonna recap this game, I think everyone understands what happened and how well we were able to play after the first quarter.
What I am going to say is, I really believe after a quarter of the season, the only thing that can stop this team from a deep playoff run (barring any more mega star injuries) is our defense.
If you see the steps the passing game has taken and we can get back Stanley, Boyle, Bateman, Boykin, and Tyree, watch the fuck out. And obviously Leveon is just getting introduced and Murray will continue to get better. So will Ty'son.
Unfortunately, defensively, the only guy we're really going to get back that we've been missing is Wolfe. And that's great because he's pretty good! But idk there is something that just feels incredibly average about this defense. If we can find a way to get our defense playing at the elite level we've so often seen, no one can stop us. Only bad luck causing sustained turmoil has been able to stop us and at the end of the day, it really hasn't even stopped us.
Offense is only going to ascend, defense has gotta find a way to do that too.
Now for the love of God, let's find a way to make sure Andre Smith is not out there next week.

It’s not mercy, it’s more about trying to control the outcome. Running up scores typically involve more risk, and when you hold an insurmountable lead you don’t wanna take risks

I feel like the loss of peters is so major that the guys stepping up need time to adjust, peters was a high iq leader on that defense and we have capable players all over but it’s not coming together.
Patrick queen needs to get it tf together, we need a solution for the nickel because tavon is getting lit up, and whoever we have playing the deep safety role needs to be in the right place more consistently, if these 3 things are able to get worked out then the entire defense should fall into place. Our pass rush, while not dominant, looks way improved, we’re blitzing less and it’s yielding good results, so I think it’s just a matter of tinkering and adjusting and some of these assholes doing their job and not fucking up as much

Yeah, scoring points matter till the end of the game here because of how they factor into playoff qualification. I get why teams do it in US sports, I just don't get why opposing teams get upset if you don't. They are essentially saying you are classless for not taking mercy on us because we are shit.

I really liked Queen last year, he wasn't perfect, but he flashed a lot and it looked like his issues were experience based, which hints at a killer second season. Instead he's been kinda lame, most disappointing player of the year for me so far.

Nah man I don’t like the call. Shame on us for not getting 100 yards earlier that we need to run a play when their defense is relaxed. We should have been better in the run game .Feels like cheap history
