Pro Bowl Thread

How many punters do you see getting the game ball, right? I know that his average and his net aren't among the best, but those numbers are trickier. For example, if you're punting from your own 45 yard line, 35 yards gets you into the opposing 20, which is liable to hurt your average while completing the intended objective. And you'd have to assume that every punter's goal is to boot it inside the 20. That's why Kern's net average of 45.6 with 22 inside the 20 in far less impressive in my eyes than 41.3 and 37. And as you've said, he might very well have the biggest arsenal among all punters.

i dont think its even a question to be honest - koch is a pioneer and is reinventing punting - he's at the forefront of his profession and everyone else is trying to catch up - there's no question he has a larger toolkit than any other punter in the league

He would give Ray Guy a rub for his money.

Boswell got the pro bowl invite but there's no way he gets first all pro team nods over Tucker

tucker's the best kicker in the league but i imagine greg zuerlein wins first all pro because he's close to breaking the most points in a season record i think

Daryl Smith was always better than Lawrence timmons and never made the pro bowl. From 2008-2011 he was a top 3 ILB in football.
it is what it is..

on another note, i don't know how CJ mosely made it. He;s been meh as hell.
tucker should be in it by default.

The afc is pretty weak on linebackers tbh although telvin smith could probably feel pretty hard done by - I’m not sure who’d go in ahead of cj (he’s the starter as well not even the backup middle linebacker)

He’s also one of only 2 in the league with at least 115 tackles, 2 Ints and 1 sack (bobby Wagner)

And to emphasise the lack of competition in the afc - the 2nd pro bowler might not even play football again ever and the 1st alternate is the browns joe schobert

The fact that harrison smith didnt make it is another reason probowls dont matter to me. Probowl voters are just like the analyst, clueless

how in the hell Cj made it.
Funny fans were praising CJ and how well he has been playing but since he has had 2 down weeks in a row because of injuries he has played through everyone thinks he has been bad...

I think we are lucky he is even playing through those injuries. I would take Mosley at 60% than a Correa at 500%

London Fletcher was another guy I never thought was given his due.

Also really happy for Suggs. Hope this helps cement his HOF status.

btw..

Pat Ricard FB pro bowler. No doubt in my mind. A natural...

i think if he starts getting offensive statistics next year pat ricard is gonna be a no-brainer pro-bowler but as it is at the moment a pure blocking fullback just isnt gonna get the attention required to make it in (especially over someone like juice who is hardly a conventional fullback at all and james develin who is an established name)
