Lamar Jackson

I just knew all this was going to be a very big issue when Watson got signed and our owner went out there and made the comments he did about the contract.

The idea that Watsons contract was an "outlier" was always incorrect. Steve B knew the moment the Clowns signed that guy that things would change.

No matter what side of the coin you are on, I's obvious that Lamar has done more than Watson.
Yep the Brownstains created a clusterfuck.

The cap hit is 54 mil tho and they are 13 mil as it stands now over the cap. That is not slightly. And when you're over the cap 2 yrs from now............come on.

As for the compensation.......yeah but you say we'll be doormats if we trade. Seahawks made it to the playoffs and have 2 1st rd picks this year. They sure toppled off the mountain lol. We have Monken who won 2 FBS championships with Stetson Bennett as his QB. Don't get me wrong I'd like Lamar signed but not w/o outs(injuries last 2 yrs) but I have no problem taking the picks.
$13M over the cap is just a few cuts and restructures for an NFL team. It's nobody's disaster.

The Seahawks were able to trade a declining QB in his 30s for a haul. We could do the same if Lamar declined.

Fans view the picks we'd get for Lamar in a vaccuum but we should also consider how many of those picks we'll need to burn to find a QB, either in a trade, or by trading up, with no guarantee that we'll find a good one - meaning there's a good chance we'd need to go back to the draft or trade market again.
We could end up burning through the equivalent of all those picks and still be without an answer at QB.

It will kill me if Lamar leaves and we run into Watson for the next few years and he is playing up to par smh
Depends also on what we have. Could be a Daniel Jones. It could be Lamar, Could be Huntley. Might be rolling with Minshewmania. Then it depends on health and who else we rolling with but I don't see the Browns improving on anything this year.

If we have any of those guys you can kiss our chances of winning goodbye. Trotting out Huntley or Daniel Jones against the Bengals and Browns is not going to cut it

Steelers aren't going to stay asleep forever either

3 of those options are terrible. A couple of back ups or Jones on $45M or whatever he's asking for? Grim

Yep. Just kick the can down the road but it's doable but it's gonna be tight every year and if Watson does shit the bed they're f'd. Lamar has been injured 2 yrs in a row and if he doesn't have his legs we gonna be in the same shithole. Least we have some high picks tho.

Daniel Jones showed mass improvement this year and his weapons and line weren't all that. You could trade Lamar for mass picks and sign Jones for cheaper money and that could make us a better team. Jones is not Lamar but he has a lot of the same traits.

If we trade for Daniel Jones I am DONE WITH THE RAVENS LMFAO. Nothing about Daniel Jones makes me feel good. Nothing lol. If we trade Lamar, that's one thing, signing his replacement? No way. NO. NOPE. DAN JONES?????

Mind you I am from New Jersey and as a small child I thought Collins would get it done against the Ravens. If you want me to be a Giants fan just say it already lmfao

Jaam that is not good. The NFLPA is looking out for everybody as a whole trying to make a statement and they're using Lamar as the frontman. Shouldv'e bargained better when they was at the negotiating table.

Oh hell. I thought he was a free agent. My fault.

Nobody gonna be realistic regardless of what qb we would have if lamar was to leave lol. If lamar does leave, everyones true feelings about him will show… never fails lol

Well with all the multiple playoff wins and Super Bowl banners..............

I dnt fault him at all but i mean it is what it is..
Then don’t fault the Ravens when he doesn’t get the deal he wants .

Odds of Lamar returning is about 10 % .

No way we gonna play him on franchise tag with his fully guaranteed demand

It’s the right business decision by the Ravens .

Lamar is a good kid but if the Ravens had known it would come to this they would have never drafted him .
