Lamar Jackson

I thought about this last night and slapped myself lol
It would be super shitty of Lamar and I highly doubt that’s the case , but still funny. Ultimate pettiness

I thought Atlanta was good with Desmond Riddler? Why they meeting with Will Levis if they aren't satisfied with Riddler? Why not make a play for Lamar?
I think it was their GM or Blank who said they were always looking to improve the team including the QB position. Something around those lines...

Man, I enjoyed OBJ's presser earlier yesterday. A very level-headed cat that seems to have matured over the years. I liked how he waved at Lamar and mentioned how he'd love to play with him. Again, hopefully, the Ravens and Lamar can get this deal done and finalized.

Thinking maybe the plane video thing was a come to Jesus wake up moment for him. Would be cool to see a focused OBJ show up that isn’t an asshole.

Ignoring the stupidity of using passer rating as a metric for anything (remember Jimmy G is 6th all time in passer rating ahead of the likes of Tom Brady, Peyton, Brees, and Montana), I am wondering how they got that completion %. I did not bother adding up all the throws but I looked at all 5 years of Lamars completion %: 58.2, 66.1, 64.4, 64.4, and 62.3. That last one being good for 25th in the league which just highlights how insane it is to compare stats of different eras even ones 10 years ago. 10 years ago 65% completion was a great year and 60% was the expected, whereas now you expect 65% completion. This is why the average passer rating is up 10 points from a decade ago and why that crazy Jimmy G metric holds (note if you actually like Jimmy G right below him tied for 8th all time is Kirk Cousins and Dak Prescott).

That QBR number also looks off though this one more in Lamars favor. I am genuinely curious how this person got that data because aside from it being irrelevant due to comparing different eras a lot of it looks wrong.

Not to mention that Big Ben played in 249 games to Lamar’s 70 so far. Also, the “career in the pocket” stats are misleading because both QB’s have made much of their career outside of the pocket. I first saw that thing on FB. A meme posted by a very pro Lamar group with no references at all.

I’m too lazy to verify that data but I take it for what it’s worth.
