Lamar Jackson

What do you mean? Huntley has no arm strength. It's not even a question of whether he does a good or bad job throwing deep balls. He doesn't throw them. Then even in intermediate routes which he "can" throw, if they're to the sidelines, we've seen his receivers have to wait forever for the ball to get there. This has caused multiple interceptions. Not because it wasn't the right mental move but because Huntley doesn't have the arm to make the plays.

Huntley is actually a great guy, competitor, and probably pretty decent seer of the field. But physically he's so unbelievably lacking, he can't play QB at the required level for the NFL.

I see your point but the 3 good quarters aginadt the bengals was one of the most dangerous points of revisionist history we could face. Huntley was AWFUL for most of the end of the season. Did we win some games with him? Yes- however any game we won was a product of the rest of the team being dominate. 2020 he was eletric at times- believe me I sat through the freezing cold packers game. But while Roman’s passing game limited deep throws, Huntley literally can’t complete more than 1/10 open players streaming down the field.

I’ve watched him twice in game ups and Sam Koch literally throws better arch on 35 yard + passes it’s crazy.

I love what Huntley did and he’s perfect for keeping the old run game strong. Keeping Huntley after retooling the entire wr core would be a complete waste of offseason capital

I think we all know why Tyler Huntley was awful or bad last year but before that year in 2022 their was fan wondering if he could net The Ravens a draft pick with how well he played during the 2021 season. I don't think anyone saying or I am saying that Huntley is this strong arm quarterback with amazing accuracy but I think we kidding ourselves if we don't think he's capable solid game manager at the quarterback position.

It wasn't that long ago when The Ravens were going toe to toe with play off teams such the Packers and the eventual super winner the Rams in 2021 with Tyler Huntley as their starting quarterback. There are quarterbacks available in free agency that can throw the ball better than Huntley but that don't mean they are capable to help a team win games or even be a solid game manager. Ryan Fitzpatrick was never a strong arm quarterback but Todd Monken was able to make it work which makes me question why others think he can't make it work with Huntley as well whom way more mobile

I am unable to process and handle the Lamar hate across the internet and sports sites, friends. It is irking me so much and I can't fucking figure out why my kid is a magnet for hatred? He is perhaps the most transcendent sports personality of the past decade in my honest opinion, but yet, people seem to revel in hating and undermining him. Is it the way he speaks, the way he dresses, or the fact that he doesn't give a flying fuck what anybody thinks about him? It needs to stop, really. The only way it stops is if the guy wins every game he plays in for the next 5 yrs!

I am convinced much of that hatred is just a plain old racism.

Too many people just think a running QB can’t win a super bowl, Lamar wins a super bowl and that will… they’ll probably just say he won it while he still could run lol

No one said you expect your backup to be as good as your starter.

Huntley has always been bad, Tendinitis or not.

There are always going to be better options (potentially) including 2 guys on the team right now in AB, and JJ.

Guarantee that QB2 and QB3 are very much open competitions right now. Huntley might prove he's better than AB this year in camp and make the team. But there's no way that he's a lock first of all and no guarantee he's not going to be QB3 behind JJ.

Also he's too expensive at his level of player from the tender to really be a long term backup. So even if he makes the team this year, I'd expect the team to move on from him 2024.
The one silver lining I can see in Huntley is that if Lamar goes down, they might as well lose out and maximize their draft picks, and Huntley helps with that.

Watching lamsr highlights and its the samething i thought when he was in college… you either bias or dnt know what youre looking at if you dnt think he is by far the best running qb ever.. it dnt matter if justin fields get 2k rushing, he isnt and can never be a better runner than lamar.. lamar is barry sanders, everyone else just moves like devin duvernay

That should be glaringly obvious to everyone. A lot of older heads think it’s blasphemous to say anyone is a better runner than Vick or Cunningham, but it doesn’t take much to see that Lamar is just in his own class as a runner, nobody even comes close. Straight line speed when the play breaks down is one thing, but multiple defenders could have Lamar squared up and half the time it doesn’t matter, tryna bring down Lamar is like trying to pick up mercury from a broken thermometer, mf just keeps slipping through the cracks. Show me ANYONE, qb or not, that could make as many defenders miss as Lamar did in that one run vs the chiefs when we beat them, he ran for like 15 yards and every step was a juke, I think he sent 8 or 9 defenders diving through the air one after another.

I’ve been watching Quarterback, and I know Lamar would never, but damn I’d love to see him do a show like this, mahomes looks like even more of a star in this show just because it’s showing his fire on the field more than ever before, it’s awesome, and I know Lamar would be an absolute gem if he had this kind of coverage

I saw Cunningham play in his prime and agree, he doesn't come close to Lamar. Vick is very close to Lamar as a runner but as a passer he's only better as a deep ball passer and that may only be due to Lamar not having the weapons he needs, because he was much more accurate with Hollywood in the lineup and when Bateman was healthy.

VIck ain’t even close as a runner though, he’s got Lamar by a hair on straight line speed but he doesn’t have 1/10th of the wiggle and vision that Lamar has

Vick was very very inaccurate. I know lamar is inaccurate too at times but vick was consistently inaccurate.

Barry Sanders like moves. 2019 was tons the best as a runner.
