What do you mean? Huntley has no arm strength. It's not even a question of whether he does a good or bad job throwing deep balls. He doesn't throw them. Then even in intermediate routes which he "can" throw, if they're to the sidelines, we've seen his receivers have to wait forever for the ball to get there. This has caused multiple interceptions. Not because it wasn't the right mental move but because Huntley doesn't have the arm to make the plays.
Huntley is actually a great guy, competitor, and probably pretty decent seer of the field. But physically he's so unbelievably lacking, he can't play QB at the required level for the NFL.
I see your point but the 3 good quarters aginadt the bengals was one of the most dangerous points of revisionist history we could face. Huntley was AWFUL for most of the end of the season. Did we win some games with him? Yes- however any game we won was a product of the rest of the team being dominate. 2020 he was eletric at times- believe me I sat through the freezing cold packers game. But while Roman’s passing game limited deep throws, Huntley literally can’t complete more than 1/10 open players streaming down the field.
I’ve watched him twice in game ups and Sam Koch literally throws better arch on 35 yard + passes it’s crazy.
I love what Huntley did and he’s perfect for keeping the old run game strong. Keeping Huntley after retooling the entire wr core would be a complete waste of offseason capital
I think we all know why Tyler Huntley was awful or bad last year but before that year in 2022 their was fan wondering if he could net The Ravens a draft pick with how well he played during the 2021 season. I don't think anyone saying or I am saying that Huntley is this strong arm quarterback with amazing accuracy but I think we kidding ourselves if we don't think he's capable solid game manager at the quarterback position.
It wasn't that long ago when The Ravens were going toe to toe with play off teams such the Packers and the eventual super winner the Rams in 2021 with Tyler Huntley as their starting quarterback. There are quarterbacks available in free agency that can throw the ball better than Huntley but that don't mean they are capable to help a team win games or even be a solid game manager. Ryan Fitzpatrick was never a strong arm quarterback but Todd Monken was able to make it work which makes me question why others think he can't make it work with Huntley as well whom way more mobile
