Next Up: @. Bengals

I think we will miss Jimmy indeed. AJ is going to get his production but Humphrey should be able to at least keep AJ from single-handedly beating us.

Tavon on Ross should be a good matchup. Carr can not line up opposite of Ross or we will be talking about a 75 yard TD, Carr doesn’t do well against speed, and we’re talking elite speed.

I really wish Humphrey would shadow AJ...
Green is incredibly savvy and crafty, I worry that Humphrey shadowing him means that green picks up on some tendencies and by the end of the game exposes him. Because for all his physicality and athleticism, he is still undisciplined in some regards

Yes that’s absolutely true, but putting Carr on Green is literally asking to lose the game. And Tavon might be able to hold his own but he can only play so big. It’s going to come down to how much we can limit Green because we won’t stop him. Maybe mixing in Humphrey and Tavon will work.

But Humphrey is literally the only one on the team that even has a shot of covering him. Carr will be completely out classed, and while I love T. Young that's just a huge mismatch physically. As long as we can pressure Dalton and let Humphrey jam Green, I think we can contain him.

I have this as an L.. But I'll make this brief. We establish the run here we're going to win this game. Their offensive line is just as bad as ours, likely worse. They have a much better RB, but Collins and Buck aren't scrubs. And outside of Jackson III, the secondary can't do anything. I get that they were playing Luck, but that defense gave up a ton of yards. And outside of Luck, Hilton, Mack(who's more of a change of pace back), and Doyle(who is very underrated as a whole), Luck really doesn't have much help. Drafting Nelson will help in the future but that oline as a whole is still a problem. And Indy was able to move the ball all day against them.

AJ Green and Eifert are causes for concern, as is Mixon, but if the run defense is as strong is it was on Sunday I really don't see Cinci moving the ball well here.

I have this as an L for the other things besides the roster that we have to account for, as well as the fact as historically Marvin Lewis does have our number. But we're a better team imo. We'll probably split with them

LiT you know you and I just disagree on the Bengals (even with the highlights I watched of the Bengals/Colts I just saw a Colts team that is bad rather then a Bengals team that is good) and I just think between getting to rest the starters and the fact that they are the better team AND the bits I saw show that defense seemingly is not the same without Burfict, I just do not think this is going to be a close game. Give me 31-14 Ravens and the 14 is only because I think that highly of AJ Green because otherwise I would say 31-3.

I’m saying we beat the Bengals and beat them by a TD. Yes, it’s in their house as their opener and it’s a short week but the TNF away team situation pertains to the beating they take Sunday then again Thursday. We rested quite a few starters not all but some so that’ll help give us a boost. We also have Humphrey for Green and we have Young for Boyd so that should solve those two issues. Ross concerns me not one bit I’ve never been very impressed by him. The concern is with the OL against the Bengals DL but the saving grace here is we have Yanda when before we didn’t when we played them late last year. The have a pass rush and a nice CB corps but I think we’re better in every facet. The only thing I can say they have talent better than us is in AJ Green. I just don’t think they’re that good and I think we go in there and show it. I usually don’t feel this way about divisional games because, historically, they can go any way imaginable.

Bengals will take a big hit if Preston Brown isn’t ready to suit up by Thursday. Vincent Rey is dealing with an injury too, I believe.

The Ravens are gonna need to mix it up in order to win this game. Historically, Joe Flacco does poorly in Cincinnati. The running backs can control the game if they get a push up front. That being said, I think it’ll be tough to get the run going.

Luck threw about 50 times, but only sacked twice. I don’t wanna see Flacco throwing 50 times. Not even 40 times.
Has Flacco EVER had a good game there? I don't think he played like absolute shit in 2011 (or even last year), but damn man, it'd be nice for him to have a good game AND WIN.

Not counting last year (because CATCH THE DAMN BALL) I would say the last good game was 2011 where he was 17 of 27 for 270 yards and 2 TDs but I am not even sure if that was the home game or road game...

I was only talking about games in Cincy. He plays better against them in Baltimore, but it just seems forever. Whatever......just fucking win. If by some miracle, our interior line stands strong against THAT front 4, I expect this offense to move the ball with some success.

I'm surprised the NFL hasn't suspended Shawn Williams yet for that hit on Luck. I like how he is trying to defend it by saying what was he supposed to do, etc. Your not supposed to hit a guy after he gave himself up stupid idiot. I hope he gets a 6 game suspension.

Yeah, you can’t justify that hit. Not even close.

At least Burfict isn’t playing

Great win at home but now we have to go on the road (where the Ravens have chronically struggled the past few seasons) to face the Bengals.....the Ravens Kryptonite.....in PRIMETIME! Damn! Please Ravens please get the "W"....please! Did I say, please????

GO RAVENS!

It would be very nice to get this road win. The starters only played a half against the Bills. They can get a long rest before hosting Denver.

To go 4-0 without Jimmy would be phenomenal.

You must not have seen us play vs them lately lol. Or ever. They have had our number over the years, maybe moreso than any team.

Flacco has played his absolute worst against the Bengals over his career. In 19 career games against them, he has 19 TDs to 23 INTs. If you compare that to his stats against the Steelers in the same amount of games (23 TDs to 12 INTs) then you can see the drastic difference.
