Well, sort of. The overall premise is usually getting quality receivers before the end of day 2. There's tons of really good WRs who weren't round 1 draft picks in recent years.

Those guys were all day 2 picks between 2019-2021. Round 2 has been quite lucrative for WRs in recent years.

it is worth pointing out that the 2019 WR class has led to a fair amount of inflation at the position - those kinds of guys are flying off the board a lot higher generally

still there but not as prolifically available as that 2019 class makes it seem

I think a sleeper need is CB2 with Marcus likely gone and no real guy we have to step up. We are a Marlon injury from having terrible cbs again.

It sucks that both Zietler and Powers seem to be Right guard only people. I feel ben is gonna price himself outside of here with a 10 mil / year deal especially with his power in the pass blocking. Good thing is, we should be set with studs at Left Right and Center. what's the rule, you can have 2 bad linemen and they can't be next to one another right?

Was reading an article about the whole John Angelos vs. Dan Connolly press conference battle yesterday that said Dan was going to be on the fan today, so I tuned in. Caught the tail end of the discussion about just this, the lack of picks, and they are convinced a Lamar trade fills the coffers.

Hard to know without knowing what the numbers would be, but not inconceivable that they'd structure it to where the cap hit is $15-20M or maybe even more less than the FT would be.

completely depends on the structure
but the smaller it is in yr 1, obviously the bigger itll be the rest of the deal
