McCoy hopes to make a decision by today, via Rapsheet. If homeboy doesn’t decide today, I’m moving on. Too many games. If he wants to join the paper champs in Cleveland then so be it.
 
The way McCoy is playing this makes me think he's going to Cleveland. The only reason to delay is for more money. He's waiting to see if we'll up the offer, which we can't. Even if we did, Cleveland can again.
 
Wish he'd announce where he's going and be done with it. Stretching it out and being dramatic wears a bit thin after a day or so.
 
let's use that cap for a midseason trade for bobby wagner ( and yes he's worth a massive extension)
 
honestly im just glad the browns didnt get em. There D interior isn't great ( richardson is a shadow of his former self) and larry hasn't done much.

Gerald McCoy ends up taking less (with less guaranteed money) to play with the #Panthers and face his old team. 1-year deal worth roughly $8M with a chance to make $10M or so based on playing time and sack incentives.

So McCoy did indeed turn down that 11 mill he was offered, but not sure why he'd go to Carolina with no certainty that Cam's throwing shoulder is fine. Seems more like an emotional decision than a business one to me. I do respect the hell out of him tho, so I'm not gonna get mad.
