I'm ok with it as long as its done legally thru work visas which is great especially for seasonal jobs. Crab picking sure as hell aint easy. Problem is there's so many unscrupulous employers paying under the table wages ( a lot of times less than minimal wage) and this is extremely abundant in the service industry ( motels especially ), construction and landscaping. Any employer that has at least 10 workers should be required to use e-verify and imo 1st time offenders that knowingly (key word here) should face a 5 figure fine which can be fought in court. A 2md offense its a felony charge. Its the only to get thru to employers that use these avenues.
AS for millennials I don't even know what to say. I guess you can tell by my post its all about the employers to me since its really hard to blame immigrants in this. So we can also add to my original post that nobody blames the employers neither.
The problem is always going to be the people that decide to take advantage of others for monetary gain. Just because you can find someone and pay them a lot less does not mean you should.
Nobody is responsible. Responsible capitalism does not exist. Does not matter what side of the fence you are on, is always the same issue.
Immigration has never been fixed or attempted to be fixed. It takes too long for a lot of people that unfortunately don't have time considering how bad there home countries have been getting.
It is unfortunate all around. I just don't enjoy blaming immigrants for blunders created by government(s)
