Lamar Jackson

I’ve been saying ever since Taylor rapp got pissy and tried to end Lamar’s season right before the 5th TD pass, that players are targeting Lamar.

It’s not even subtle anymore. I get putting a beating on a guy, if a qb wants to run, make him pay, see if he’s still running in the fourth, all that Jazz... but this is different, they’re trying to purposely end a mans season so you can maybe have an easier time getting a single win is not in the spirit of football at all, everybody we play suddenly turns into vontaze burfict and it’s fucking disgusting.

I am TERRIFIED of playing the browns. It would be such a Freddie kitchens and browns thing to do to play spoiler, and since they can’t knock us out of the playoffs they just end Lamar’s season. I’ve been worried about this for weeks.
I might be even more worried vs G. Williams D on TNF

The rules keep you from hitting high. If the qb is going to run this much I'm doing the same as a defender. I'm getting embarrassed trying to tackle normally, so damn real I'm going low and having him make a decision. Get used to it. Luckily, Lamar seems to have a goddam spider sense. It didn't count, but I realized his instincts were insane on the non td against the Packers. The speed he processes at is crazy.
That's not the issue. Nobody touches Lamar when he's running.
They are hitting him low on pass plays, in the pocket.

Rules don’t keep you from tackling high, they keep you from going for the head in the pocket and they keep you from defending a pass high.

When Lamar is on the edge heading out of bounds it is ridiculous that guys are still aiming for the knees. And in the pocket? A low hit is illegal lol, rules don’t force you to do what defenders are doing to Lamar, they are trying to take him out so they don’t have to defend him, and that is absolute trash and destroys the games integrity.

And yes, ngatas hit on rg3 was exactly in line with what I’m talking about and that was a trash dirty play that essentially ruined a career.

I think he learned his lesson. Haven’t seen anything egregious from him.

If the browns with nothing to play for and baker at QB didn’t try to hurt Lamar last year with Gregg Williams at HC, I don’t think the jets will try to with him at DC

I don't think Ngatas hit was dirty.(also haven't seen it in a while). That was a trash ass slide. I also wasn't speaking on hits in the pocket but in the open field. I've noticed too, since the late in the Rams game players seem to put a little extra into his tackles. Not saying it's right but you had to expect it. It feels like its getting worse each week and I expect the trend to continue especially through the playoffs.

If they fucking dare...
I kid you not. I was thinking about the Browns game and how undisciplined they've been as a whole. The worst part of my football-related anxiety? Getting worked over shit that hasn't or didn't happen. Take this Bills game for example. Prior to the Peters pass deflection to end the game, I was getting HOT over the fact that I felt that the Bills were going to not only score a TD but go for two to win the game.

I'd probably hate the Browns more than the Steelers if they went leg-hunting and tried to take Lamar out of the game.

I thought ngatas hit was dirty, Kruger made the tackle, bob was giving himself up and he was essentially down, almost all the way, ngata went deadman style dive into him, think what Siragusa did to Gannon, but Gannon was already down and tackled by someone else lol.

Also based on his presser, it seems like he has a really good relationship with Harbs and Roman. Even after the W against the Browns, he took some time whispering into Harbs ear. It seemed like he was praising our team. So, I am not worried about any Jet playing dirty.

The rules stop you from going below the knee also while in the pocket as a passer which is where these low and late hits have been coming

The funny thing is, the hit vs Bills he got injured on probably wasn't dirty - it would have gone into the belly had Lamar not retreated a step to deliver that pass. There were other, really nasty low hits, the worst being by that little prick from Rams. Lamar jumped on that one and it ended up nothing but had the leg been planted.....

You know what i think we can use to our advantage in the playoffs? sliding!! Im sure when they look at the tape, they notice lamar never slides. If he starts sliding in the playoffs, i know we should easily be able to get a few late hit calls. He is so fast and quick, its gonna be hard for mfs to anticipate a slide from him.. like when hollywood jumps forward on the ground, you dont even know he gonna do it

RG3 wasn't in the pocket. The pocket had broken down and he was scrambling.

This is unbelievable. The entire fucking Internet is talking about Lamar's injury and the sentiment is

"You stay in the pocket, we can protect you but when you break out....."
- S Sharpe

I am going to lose my mind if I watch any of that shit. Fuck you all.

do they realize he was injured...... in the pocket as every other QB this season.

its literally in the interview all those shows play before they start their discussion - they play lamar talking about the injury happening on the td throw, and they play earl thomas talking about protecting him and players going after his legs and going low

and then they proceed to ignore those 2 bits and talk about how lamar shouldnt get extra protection because he's running

This is why i stopped analyst yrs ago.. like its all bs to get views lol.. thats cool and all but these dudes really have lost and been losing who they truly are over it.. they have to spread that narrative around. The narrative is more important than the actual facts

Please no, don’t force sliding on a qb who’s just unable to. Not everyone can slide, it’s a mental block, and when you have that issue and try to force yourself to slide in the heat of the moment you’re gonna go down awkward as hell and hurt yourself, or at the very least put yourself at big risk.

Joe used to have the best looking slide in the league, shit was textbook and smooth af lol, after the injury and brace, he wasn’t able to and every single slide looked like he was gonna re inure his knee, rg3 couldnt slide and his attempts were really ugly and dangerous looking. I could be mistaken but I actually think Jason Campbell knocked himself out of a game because he tried to force a slide and hurt himself.

It’s like a backflip block, some people have a self preservation thing kick in and they just can’t do it.
