Next Up: @ Bengals

Ok so the Steelers are giving up on the higher seed. Mike Tomlin says Mason Rudolph will start for the Steelers in Week 17. I assume other starters will be resting too essentially making it even easier for the Browns to win.

With Indy playing Jacksonville, now we definitely gotta make sure we win.

If we lost to the Bengals with most of our starters, then I frankly don't think we'd deserve to go to the playoffs.

They are pretty busted up, and have 4 wins. Obviously you can never underestimate a team - especially if you are the one on the field playing. But I am not all that worried. Lamar and company are reliable in these situations.

What I am worried about is shaking that playoff monkey off of the team's back. It used to be that the Ravens were one of the most reliable teams in the playoffs, but the team has choked in the last 3 years. I feel like the Titans game last year was a choke by everyone but Lamar. He didn't do great, but he was the only one that even seemed to try.

I hope we face the Titans in round one and crush them. Prior to the game last year, I visited two Titans forums. Both had threads making fun of Todd Heap and his daughter's death. The sociopaths were having a huge laugh about how he ran her over with his car. Not a single Titans fan said, "Hey let's maybe not be ghoulish psychos and make fun of a guy's dead child". Ever since that, the Titans fans have sealed themselves as the ONLY team's fans I hate. And anything that disappoints them will make me happy.

Most of those teams were not good. And the one that was rested starters. Additionally, they had QBs capable of amazing play for most of these games. Kitna, Carson Palmer, Andy Dalton. With Burrow out, their records here are meaningless. Makes them no more or less likely to win here than any other 4-10 team in my opinion.

Agreed. I would be fine missing the playoffs if we couldn't beat them.

I also want Lamar to get that first playoff win, which is why I'll also be rooting for the Browns this weekend. I don't want Lamar's playoff reentry to be in Buffalo.

good sign for the playoffs that marcus is back on the field this week even on a limited basis

not sure on the long-term ramifications of the 4 who got nicked up during the giants game: humphrey, mekari, ngakoue and snead - they will be guys to monitor this week - too early to worry yet on them

ingram normally gets wednesdays off and i guess campbell is getting a vet/rest day too given his injuries

no idea on koch and orlando - assuming vet days for them also but no idea

well i guess we know why sam koch wasn't at practice then...

I guess we're going for it on 4th down.

Have our players learned nothing from last month's fiasco? Why the hell are they doing whatever unsafe stuff they're doing that's continuing this?
Frustrating. I hope it starts and ends with Koch, but I am not optimistic.

if it's just one isolated case then it's pretty hard to blame it on the player or the organisation - you can do everything right but a family member could still give it to you or it could get into your life some other way

1) really hope this doesnt spread
2) who's our backup punter?

Handwriting's on the wall, folks. Season is over. Between the Madden Curse and the Bengals-in-Week-17 Curse, it's too much to overcome. And then there's the COVID angle too.

Accept the inevitable.

I will do no such thing. We are going to win the Superbowl!

In unrelated news, I started my NYE drinks 3 hours ago.
