John just said joe has seen a back specialist a week of rest and he will be good thank god although I do see what you guys are saying about it lingering but I'd imagine with good rest he will be fine

sounding like kap to bmore could happen depending how flacco feels after a week of rest. not sure how i feel about this but i also understand that there isnt anyone else left to bring in. kap does have starting exp. but our offense does not really fit with his skill set but stranger things have happened like brady going to 7 super bowls

Genius strategy. Instead of Mallet accidentally winning us games, Kaep will assure that we lose so we can draft Barkley/the tackle out of ND in round one.

Kaep isnt a good enough player, I dont particularly care about his personal beliefs or how it makes anyone feel the guy is a bad QB.
He may be bad but would you take mallet over him?
if there's one potential bonus to all this bad voodoo it's that harbs and ozzie probably get another year's grace while also getting a higher draft pick - pretty hard to fire a coach and gm when their team is destroyed before training camp even really begins
we've lost a starting mlb, starting corner, starting rb, starting tight end, backup tight end, backup/starting centre
we've lost 4 bona fide starters unexpectedly this offseason - in addition to losing our starting rt, centre, wr, 5tech, 3tech, rush lb
this year we essentially are gonna end up with at least 5 starters on offence (wr, te, rt, c, rb) and depending on the formation we use most maybe even 6 new starters given that juice was a starter for us too, and on defence we will have at least 6 new starters on defence (s, cb, mlb, olb, 3t, 5t) and if we are in the nickel then make that 7 new starters
anywhere between 11 and 13 new starters out of 22 players is a lot of turnover and a lot different to 7-9 new starters without the unexpected losses which would have been close to normal turnover on an nfl team
half our starters will likely be new
so if flacco does go down and its 50/50 as much as id hate it id maybe just wrap him up for the year and say you know what maybe we'll have better luck next year

Yeah, you wouldnt want either as a starter but Mallett has experience with our receivers and system.

Please no Kapernick, he is terrible. I would rather have Mallet because do you really think we have any chance of winning anything with Kap as the QB, no way!

What are you talking about? We give Flacco the year off and use Kaepernick to intentionally tank the season so we can draft a stud offensive player next year. It's genius
In the last two years, Kaepernick has won 3 games out of the 19 he started. Mallett won 2 out of 6 he started. Neither should really be getting anyone excited.
Either way Flacco will be the starter even if his back soreness persists for the next couple months. The bigger issue is him losing reps.

I didn't say we would win with Mallet. I said it isn't worth signing Kap because he won't win. Mallet is already on the team. I wouldn't spend a dime on Kapernick.
