Whom Would You Draft @16?

How do you feel about Denzel Ward, because I am also high on him. That kid has got some serious wheels for a corner.

I like Ward, Really high on him. Just can't see Ozzie going there, but you won't here me complaining if we picked him. I think he could be a prime pick for the Bucs

Anybody else thinks Ozzie might throw a curve ball in his last draft and take Guice at #16?

It's one of those where I am so keen to see WR's and TE's added, then after that I see a guy like McGinchly for the OL, then if a player falls like James I don't care about needs...HE IS THE GUY!

So RB is a bit of an after thought, yet if Guice is our pick I would love it very quickly, AFC North built, Playmaker for Flacco

Yeah, if a player like James drops then you run the pick in and don't think twice. Also, if you base your whole draft around immediate needs then you're probably going to end up reaching on some of your picks. If a player falls that's unquestionably rated higher than the rest of the board then you need to get that guy (unless he dropped for a valid reason like major injury/character concerns).

It’s weird - normally I’d advocate for this but something to do with the makeup of our roster and the makeup of the draft class is pushing me away from that idea a little - the way I’ve been thinking about it is that it doesn’t matter how good a dline man is vs another position because the dline man has very little relative positive impact on the team over the next 2 years at least because we already have a high baseline level of play at that position group and a lot of depth

I’m not saying you take a 3rd round talent over a 1st round guy but for the first time as a ravens fan I’m advocating for taking a slightly lower rated guy at a position that will have a larger impact on this team

Yeah I know what you mean, the roster is a mess so there has got to be an element of filling the holes.

I think our biggest need still is WR and TE, but what works massively in our favour this year is rounds 2 and 3 are loaded with them. So there is no need to reach here.

OL is the tough one, McGlinchley, Williams are in play, if you don't take them at 16 then at 52 a lot of the best are gone, Wynn, Hernandez etc are mid 20s/early 2nds.

Mind you...the dream mock is this one right here haha

ZERO chance Nelson does make it, but WOW!

If that was our round 1 pick I wouldn’t really care what happened with the rest of the draft - that’s how good Nelson is lol

I would literally die if we got Nelson. Yanda and Nelson would be the greatest G combo in history.

If that mock was to happen, we’ll
Still find a way to draft Calvin ridley and
Pass on Nelson. Ozzie can’t help himself

I understand that sentiment, however, if a certain player falls then I'm willing to make an exception. James would definitely fall into that category as he could end up becoming one of the best safeties in the league (kinda looks like a hybrid between Chancellor and Ramsey). I just don't get that same feeling about Ridley, Moore, or any of the O-linemen that will likely be available at pick 16.

I don’t think it would be bizarre if Nelson fell to our pick. If you’re picking in the top five you still have the opportunity to scoop a really good interior OL or guard. I don’t know if he’s truly going into the top 10 tbh.

I just think Nelson is something special, and I can't see him sliding past the Bears with his former coach there as well

If Nelson fell to us, I would be up all night celebrating! He is the top pick on my wish list.
