Here's my ideal choices
Calvin Ridley- He's not an elite prospect, but he's a day one #1 WR. Would be a massive boost for the offense.
DJ Moore- Less safe than Ridley, but more upside. Could be a pro bowler. Would not complain in the slightest.
Mike McGlinchey-He ain't sexy, but as a RT, I'd be good with it. It's a bullshit notion that RT is less important.
Isaiah Wynn-Mauler. Only word you need to know. He's a guard through and through, and could also adaquately play the C position if need be... probably. He's my #2 choice overall. I know it would anger the fanbase, (but I would love a Wynn-Hayden Hurst-Frank Ragnow-Keke Coutee draft)
Da'Ron Payne-I know Steve said no DT... But Payne would just be too good to pass up. Interior rush is a need
Vita Vea- I know... But again, too tantilizing to pass up. He'd be a BPA pick the fans would hate, but the dude has undeniable talent. Thought I doubt we go dline.
Connor Williams- See McGlinchey, but far less consistent. High end upside I will not complain with. Fixing the oline is a must.
Potential fallers: some I like, some I hate
Tremaine Edmunds-If he's somehow on the board, rush to the podium and select him. I don't care if he's an ILB. Dude is special and literally the perfect compliment to CJ. Want a player who'd put the defense over the top... He's it.
Derwin James- Talented, going to be a good player. Not what the team needs right now. We need an instant impact. This is a good long run pick, but it's a pick we cannot afford to make at this moment.
Roquan Smith- HATE IT. Stay as far away as possible. Not the greatest fit here, not a good fit with CJ. Would be a slight upgrade over Zach Orr... Zach Orr was the most overrated player in the NFL two seasons ago.
Marcus Davenport-He's rawer than sushi. No thanks
Joshua Jackson- In Today's NFL I show no issues whatsoever with addressing the secondary. Jackson has those precious ball skills a certain member would love to have.
Other options I'd rather trade back for.
Rahsaan Evans- Will not complain with him. He's a good prospect.
Billy Price- He's the rare high ceiling, high floor type. At worst, he's a good starting Center. At his best, he could be a stud. He should be our top option in a trade back. He fits the oline scheme perfectly.
James Daniels-He's very good as well. Not as good as Price. Not necessarily a scheme fit. Though I see him as the Ronnie Stanley of Centers. He's one of the the un sexiest players I've ever seen on tape, but shit he gets the job done.
Kolton Miller- He's a RT only but should be a day one RT and a pretty good one all things considered.
Maurice Hurst- Let's actually go get a good player named Hurst. Also.... As an interior rusher they're aren't too many players in the draft I'd take over him.
Not too many prospects I'd hate tbh.
