Whom Would You Draft @16?

James is my dream pick for the first round TBH. Dude is a beast and would be an instant difference maker on this defense that could be used in a bunch of different ways. I'd much rather get James than any offensive playmaker we could get (Ridley, Moore, Guice, etc.) especially when there should be solid offensive options in rounds 2-3.
Same. I'd even pick him over Nelson.

I just think that in the long run, James would make a bigger difference in our win/loss record than Nelson. Don't get me wrong, Nelson is amazing and bar none the best o-lineman in this draft. But I'd take a potential all-pro safety over an all-pro guard.

i disagree entirely - an all-pro lineman is involved in every single play from scrimmage, an all-pro safety can be avoided or schemed out of the play to a certain extent

that being said they'd both be great additions and James definitely has a more realistic chance at falling to us (albeit neither of their chances are really realistic at all)

Yeah I got to agree, I love James, I mean almost every post I put up is how much I want him to be our pick if he is there at 16...but if in a miracle world we had a choice of him or Nelson...as @rossihunter2 said Nelson is the no-brainiest no brainer of all time.

Here's my ideal choices
Calvin Ridley- He's not an elite prospect, but he's a day one #1 WR. Would be a massive boost for the offense.
DJ Moore- Less safe than Ridley, but more upside. Could be a pro bowler. Would not complain in the slightest.
Mike McGlinchey-He ain't sexy, but as a RT, I'd be good with it. It's a bullshit notion that RT is less important.
Isaiah Wynn-Mauler. Only word you need to know. He's a guard through and through, and could also adaquately play the C position if need be... probably. He's my #2 choice overall. I know it would anger the fanbase, (but I would love a Wynn-Hayden Hurst-Frank Ragnow-Keke Coutee draft)
Da'Ron Payne-I know Steve said no DT... But Payne would just be too good to pass up. Interior rush is a need
Vita Vea- I know... But again, too tantilizing to pass up. He'd be a BPA pick the fans would hate, but the dude has undeniable talent. Thought I doubt we go dline.
Connor Williams- See McGlinchey, but far less consistent. High end upside I will not complain with. Fixing the oline is a must.

Potential fallers: some I like, some I hate
Tremaine Edmunds-If he's somehow on the board, rush to the podium and select him. I don't care if he's an ILB. Dude is special and literally the perfect compliment to CJ. Want a player who'd put the defense over the top... He's it.
Derwin James- Talented, going to be a good player. Not what the team needs right now. We need an instant impact. This is a good long run pick, but it's a pick we cannot afford to make at this moment.
Roquan Smith- HATE IT. Stay as far away as possible. Not the greatest fit here, not a good fit with CJ. Would be a slight upgrade over Zach Orr... Zach Orr was the most overrated player in the NFL two seasons ago.
Marcus Davenport-He's rawer than sushi. No thanks
Joshua Jackson- In Today's NFL I show no issues whatsoever with addressing the secondary. Jackson has those precious ball skills a certain member would love to have.

Other options I'd rather trade back for.
Rahsaan Evans- Will not complain with him. He's a good prospect.
Billy Price- He's the rare high ceiling, high floor type. At worst, he's a good starting Center. At his best, he could be a stud. He should be our top option in a trade back. He fits the oline scheme perfectly.
James Daniels-He's very good as well. Not as good as Price. Not necessarily a scheme fit. Though I see him as the Ronnie Stanley of Centers. He's one of the the un sexiest players I've ever seen on tape, but shit he gets the job done.
Kolton Miller- He's a RT only but should be a day one RT and a pretty good one all things considered.
Maurice Hurst- Let's actually go get a good player named Hurst. Also.... As an interior rusher they're aren't too many players in the draft I'd take over him.

Not too many prospects I'd hate tbh.

I think after hearing what Harbaugh said about the oline, i truly believebwe go T early. I dont think we payed Hurst to really be the starting RT, maybe swing tackle but hes not the starter. Even if Suggs talked him up, which, if suggs was struggling with Hurst last training camp, we should be more worried about Suggs. If Mcglinchey is there we have to take him. Hes a 10 year starter at RT

i think a big point here is that the "meta" of the league has changed in viewpoint the last few years - so many of the consistent teams in the playoffs have put a premium on bookending BOTH ends of the Oline - look at the Titans, Pats, Eagles, Saints among others
it would do the ravens a lot of good to bring in mcglinchey and keep him and stanley together for a long time

We should be more worried about Suggs? The man had double digit sacks. Come on. Maybe Hurst ends up being a decent RT.

Well the Pats are kinda SOL with that now lol. Idk if id trust any of theses guys to fill Solders shoes

I think its either ridley or an olineman. dont want minkah if he falls nor james! id be happy as fuck if we selected raquan! Edmunds is cool but i wasnt big on him before nor after combime.. however, with our history of developing LBs he could be great for us.

It’s our history at developing LBs that allows us to refrain from spending a 1st round pick on a weak side LB. No thanks.

If we end up with the Wynn draft you mention then im with you, would be a great haul

Beginning to feel like the pick if at 16 will be Ridley or McGlinchey...and as it gets nearer I would prefer we go McGlinchey. It's not a sexy pick, but TE/WR is good on day 2.

If we trade back then Wynn/Price would be ideal

ive got ridley over mcglinchey on my board but not by much - either would be ideal if they fall

That's the thing if it played out that both these guys were on the board I actually would have Ridley slightly higher...but the reason I would lean toward McGlinchey is I feel in rounds 2 and 3 there are more WRs then a plug and play RT

TBF though either of them would be ideal like you say
