Lamar Jackson

I wonder if he knew this information when first diagnosed with this.
There’s no way he or the team didn’t know. I’m sure they performed several MRIs periodically to confirm

The likelihood is he signs in the offseason. My instincts tell me he wants to get it done so he can chill and focus on football. I'm sure he is unhappy about how the season ended this year. He won't let it happen again.

I'm not sure I see it the same way, Lamar's Dad... I wouldn't be surprised if he were happy to take the payday of the Tag to try to have a healthy year in cementing an even larger contract. He bet on himself this year and it failed. I don't think he wants any regrets. But if we pay the tag and he winds up injured again next year on the tag, he damages his ability to get the record deal he's angling for and weakens our position in getting trade value. If it ain't done soon, I feel like the die is cast for him to be traded on draft night.

Lamar’s injury has been a complete failure by the Ravens organization to be transparent. I realize you wanna make teams think so and so may or may not be playing but this is your franchise player you are talking about. Harbaugh , DeCosta and company should be ashamed.

i don’t think the ravens are interested in keeping Lamar. I think they haven’t offered him more than the last offer because they valued him at that and they probably don’t feel any differently after this year.

He really might get traded this offseason. They don’t wanna lose trade leverage and value so running it back isn’t an option. They either commit long term this offseason without first seeing him with a new OC, or trade him, OR he plays on the tag and we lose all leverage at the end of the season. I think Lamar might be more committed to the ravens than the ravens are to him.

This confirmed what I always suspected. I never bought into the "Lamar is quiet quitting" or whatever narrative. I just thought this injury was worse than what was told and even Harbs couldn't definitively said.

like with this new update - he's probably gonna need surgery once the swelling goes down

Lamar ruled out

Odds Lamar gets traded have moved from 50 percent to 70 .

Frankly I want a durable QB. Josh Allen takes a lot of hits running buts seems pretty damn durable.

well this doesnt even seem like a durability issue

only feels like that because the hit he took looked innocuous on camera

last 2 years he's been knocked out by injuries requiring surgery - not niggles and things that are wearing his body down

they havent offered him more than the last offer because they havent negotiated since the last offer at lamar's behest lol

it was their next offer, not their final offer
