Not as strong in coverage as the other Safety’s in this class, but I love his tackling ability, and I think he could fit nicely as a box safety

I was wondering where he would go. I know another team that was a strongly considering taking him early this round.
 
Funny enough - Mullen was the guy I was trying to trade up for. In the wait, I got to review the film and I was starting to think I was overrating him. Obviously, still would have taken him in this range, but started to question how much I was willing to give up for him.

It's all good. I actually PM'd a few members about a potential trade and ended up backing out regardless because I just wasn't sure I was willing to give up that much for him after further evaluation. He had interesting tape to evaluate because teams really didn't throw at him, which can be a good thing or a bad thing.
 
All in all, this is a tough draft. Usually I end up with a few needs but I did so well filling them in FA that I can go pure BPA. The problem with going pure BPA is a lot of these dudes are starting to blend together. Usually I can pinpoint a few positions and build boards around that but now I'm stuck trying to evaluate everybody and I'm already super behind.

Furthermore, I have 8 picks and I don't really have roster room for 8 so I'm trying to trade up randomly and I'm not even sure it's beneficial lol. I'm all over the place so far this year.

Didn't you here the NFL Owners voted on increasing the size of the Roster to 90. I think I'm the only one that got that memo.

I mean, I definitely have room on my 90 for 8 but shit, my 53 is basically full as it is. I figured it made sense to try to trade up for better players but I'm not even sure who the better players are lol

Well if you are looking to trade back into the 5th with your 4th round pick, I'd be happy to make a deal.
 
Due to Jacquouille bing in France, it's a good chance he will be sleeping for next 4 hours. Anyway I'll probably go to bed in about two yours or so and would like to leave the Packers board with someone so we can keep the draft moving at a good pace.

Yep, as far as I can tell, blending with this class starts after the first maybe dozen players. In some other year most of these guys wouldn't even sniff anywhere near the first round. Some good mid range talent but very thin at the top.
