This guy is literally saying “I’m not bothered by him overrunning plays and missing ball carriers by multiple yards and giving up huge chunk runs because he is so fast and explosive”

Murray is literally a bigger longer faster Kenny young.

exactly - first clip he shows is of murray overrunning a play lol

how anyone could watch murray and think he was the best in the class is ridiculous

you say that but CJ was consistently dominant for us - we seriously missed him when he was gone and then in his first game for the Jets he was amazing

people understate how athletic he is just because he wasnt ryan shazier
Mosley was outstanding in the run game, but he was always a step too slow in the pass game. In that Jets game Josh Allen threw a ball extremely low and it bounced off Cole Beasleys thigh, Mosley was in the right place at the right time to pick it off. Josh Allen then juggled the snap and the ball rolled straight to Mosley. A lot of luck involved. Mosley wasn’t making plays in coverage things just happened to go his way.

i just see it completely differently - he did so many things in coverage that were never really appreciated

Mosley did a lot of great in coverage but he also got victimized fairly often, some was scheme, some was surrounding players, some directly on him. His bumps and knock downs and disruptions were so damn savvy and smart and helpful, but at the same time he would blitz often and he never got any pressure and his vacated space was often where the completion happened, it was a trend, along with him being a yard shy of where he needed to be when the ball arrived.

Mosley is great, but he isn’t perfect. His best year was his rookie year where he played light and he had substantially more range and explosion but was still big enough to hold up, it’s no coincidence that he packed on a good 20 some lbs over the next 2 years and he seemed to progressively get slower in coverage.

honestly the biggest issue with Mosley was that we needed him to be both the mike and will too often, he’s a classic LB with enough iq to be good in coverage and sometimes downright great, but also lacked range big time, but we put him in a position to be exposed in coverage too often.

he would also consistently help out the DBs with those crossing routes in a zone

question for everyone here

You all know im delighted we got queen over murray but if murray was on the board

would we have pulled a stinker?

I agree with that and I still liked Murray but I thought Queen was much better than him. Murray was a late 1st early 2nd rd guy while Queen was top 20 for me. I honestly didnt expect him to fall to us. I understand the Murray pick more than Brooks lol. That was wack

Thankyou Chargers

I dont think so. I think Queen was our guy. We need guys who are aware in space and Murray is just a missile with no sense if direction. Sometimes that's a good thing, just go and be disruptive. But not in our scheme. We play with controlled chaos

I think from what i heard Ray Lewis was clamoring for murray. I don't know. I remember having a 7th round grade on kenny young and they picked him in the 4th and i was like WTF he's all over the place..

The only thing I heard about Murray from Ray was when he crashed a draft party and one of the fans said they wanted Murray, Ray said he liked Murray cause why would he say he wouldn't lol

Brooks is actually a really good scheme fit for the Seahawks. I thinks he’s a much better run defender than Murray or Queen. He fits what the Seahawks like in their linebackers.

Seahawks always tend to draft the most random players in rd1 lol
Yeah really questionable picks when it comes to value. I saw a report that they were in talks of a trade down but it didn’t materialize and they were forced to pick. Love the Damien Lewis pick for them he’s a mauler in the run game.

I'm watching the Texas v LSU game and man. Queens goal line stand is impressive. Queen stops the ball carrier short of the line 3 straight plays

2nd and goal- QB keeper, Queen takes on the pulling TE and meets Elingher in the whole. Elingher appears to get in but on replay review you see Queen holding up Elhinger short of the line when his knee touches

3rd and goal- ingram tries a go at it and the LSU line submarines, Queen stuffs him right it the hole. He also rips the ball out but after the play was blown dead.

4th and goal. Stretch QB keep (terrible call). Queen follows the QB down the line, takes a good angle and blows the play up.

Literally every play on that stand he made the tackle. It's really impressive watching it live. His Dline did a great job keeping him clean and controlling the line. Allowing him to make plays. Similar to how itll be hear.

I'm not sure there was a better scheme and D coordinator than Dave Aranda's to get Queen prepared for Winks. Aranda asks a lot from his defense especially his LBs. Queen really picked it up late in the year after being only a rotational backer the whole year. He flashed a lot and I'm curious why he didnt get more playing time. He made plays when he got the snaps

the guy in front of him was calling the defence - took him getting suspended for queen to get snaps and he ran away with it

was told by orgeron that he needed to be better defending the run

Are you talking about Divinity the senior LB? Makes sense why I noticed someone was missing

Also while watching them i couldn't help but notice LSUs true freshman corner Derek Stingley
That kid is a star.
